Our Location
One of the most modern livestock markets in the Midwest is located 55 miles south of Kansas City, Missouri. Mo-Kan has excellent travel routes for buyers and sellers and is located just off 71 Highway at the Butler Business Route 71 / Passaic exit.
Our Facilities
Mo-Kan Livestock Market, Inc. is the most modern livestock facility in the Midwest. It has four acres under roof with feed and water pens available. There is a covered drive through facility for unloading cattle and two pot and four gooseneck trailer load out areas. Overhead catwalks allow the viewing of cattle in their pens.
The scale ring is 16'x32' and the clean sale pavilion seats 300 in comfort with theater seats and heat or air conditioning. The Auction Block and the front office are fully computerized. The seller of the cattle can pick up his check as soon as the cattle are sold and the buyer can pay his purchases when finished buying.
A restaurant is located at the front of the facility with seating capacity for 100 people. The restaurant has the best cooks around.
Our History

The construction of Mo-Kan Livestock Market, Inc. was started in the summer of 1992, The first sale was held January 7, 1993 after a disastrous fire the last week of December.
Mo-Kan Livestock Market is owned by Jerry Hertzog and Jim Hertzog Both men are full time auctioneers and have worked together for over fifteen years.
